Stouffville native David Rehill is a graduate of Huron (BA Hons), McMaster (MA) and Queen’s (B.Ed). He joined HTS in 1986, taking time off to teach with the Espanola Board of Education from 1991to 1996.
Originator of the Breakaway trip concept and Department Head of Social Sciences since 1998, David has a passion for history, which he has taught at every level from Grade 7 to Grade 12. Presently, he teaches Canadian Civics, American History, World Religions and World Issues. When not in his classroom, David can be found coaching volleyball in the gym. His teams have won six CISAA championships.
Outside HTS, David’s life revolves around his wife and daughter. Other interests include genealogy, music and tennis. On Sundays, he is the cantor and a Sunday school teacher at his local Anglican church.
