1987
Jon Naylor and his family moved to Cambodia this past summer. They are enjoying the beautiful weather and kind people. Jon is the Athletic Director at the International School of Phnom Penh, a non-profit and fully accredited IB World School, where his son is in Grade 2, his daughter is in Grade 4 and his wife teaches Grade 2/3. “I love the kids, of course, and we play tons of summer sports, and it is hot all year round,” Jon says. “HTS family passersby should be in touch by email at naylor.jonathan@gmail.com and I’ll show them a great time in Asia’s most glorious Kingdom of Cambodia.”

Sarah Ash Armstrong and her husband, Michael, are pleased to announce the birth of their fourth child, named Robson Geoffrey and born in Naperville, Illinois. He joins his three big sisters, Ashlin (7), Bennett (6) and Kelby (3). The family relocated to Naperville from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
1992
Laurie Ann Corvese is pleased to announce her engagement to Miguel Angel LaTorre. They are currently residing in Australia and plan to build their life there. Laurie Ann is currently back in school taking an International Hospitality course. The wedding is set to take place on July 3, 2010.
1993
Sal Ammirato and his wife, Mary, were married in 2005 and now have two gorgeous children, a daughter Arianna (3) and a newborn son named Corrado. Sal works for an investment company in Toronto where he is the Vice President, Sales Manager.
1995
On September 26, 2009, Clare Mitchell married Corwin Cambray at Trinity Anglican Church in Barrie. The “100 Mile”–themed wedding featured all local food and vendors. The reception was held at the MacLaren Art Centre. The Man of Honour was Simon Mitchell ’92, and guests included Kim Jansen ’95 and Alison Sellors ’95. Makeup was provided by Whitney Sellors ’96 (whitneysellors.com). In keeping with the environmentally friendly theme, Clare’s dress was a “good karma” dress from The Brides’ Project (thebridesproject.com), a charity that sends children with cancer to camp. 1999
Krysta Banwell married Jay Gutteridge on September 26, 2009, at Viamede Resort in the Kawarthas. Krysta’s Maid of Honour was Becky Craig ’02, and her bridesmaids were her sisters Melissa Banwell & Natalie Natola-Nudds ’03, and fellow HTS alumni Kate Welstead ’99, Jennifer Smith ’00, and Camille de Lacy ’01. Faculty also in attendance included Kate Greenway & Sean Stone, Christine & Terry Thomson.
2000
On August 18, 2009, Michael Ronco and Andrea (De Gasperis) Ronco welcomed their first child. Her name is Mikaela Angelina Ronco. Both the Ronco and De Gasperis families are so thrilled to have the first baby of the next generation bless their lives.
Lisa Woodcock has accepted a position as the Associate Director, Annual Fund, at the University of Guelph and relocated from Kingston. “While I miss the limestone and lakeviews, I’m happy to continue my work at an institution poised to do great things.”
2002
Ashleigh Culham married Doug Baker in May 2009 at her family cottage, where the two of them had grown up together. Ashleigh is a teacher, and she and Doug have now settled Thornhill.
Chris Gill has been working as a Communications Officer for the UN Development Program in Djibouti since February 2009 (dj.undp.org). Djibouti is bordered by Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea and the Gulf of Aden. The country’s official languages are French and Arabic, and its national languages are Somali and Afar.
Farah Manji will be graduating in May 2010 with an MD from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. She is really excited to be starting her residency training soon in anesthesiology at UWO. During medical school, she co-founded and co-chaired a successful pro-Medicare advocacy group. Eventually, Farah would like to complete subspecialty training in critical care medicine.
Kevin Yonyue Wong graduated in June 2009 from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and was granted two graduating scholarships, the Cassels Brock Prize in Practice Skills and the Faculty of Law Prize in Professional Ethics and Conduct, as well as the Students’ Law Society’s Award for Community Contribution. He has nearly completed his ten-month articling term at the Regional Municipality of York in their Legal Services Branch. He anticipates being called to the bar as a practicing barrister & solicitor in June 2010. He is looking for long-term work now in poverty law and social justice.

Kathryn Rutherford has completed her certificate in Fundraising & Volunteer Management and is currently enjoying working in her chosen field at Sunnybrook Foundation. She is enjoying volunteering with the HTS Alumni Association Executive as the Event Coordinator.
Lisa Bourbonniere Derby and her husband, Michael Derby, are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter Jocelyn Taylor Derby on September 24, 2009. In January 2010, they also opened a restaurant, The Sly Fox, in Columbia, South Carolina.
2004
Diane Rutherford has just spent three months backpacking through New Zealand and Australia. She has accepted a place at the University of Edinburgh in the fall for teachers’ college.
2006
Kevin Leung will be graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Neuropsychology from the University of Western Ontario. He has been accepted to the University of Waterloo for the PhD programme in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
2007
Ryan Kelly is finishing up his third year at Queen’s University in the Commerce program. He was selected to represent Queen’s University in the Business Policy division of the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition. This competition is Canada’s largest undergraduate business competition. From January 2010, Ryan is participating in an exchange, attending Maastricht University in the Netherlands. When he returns in June, he will be starting a commerce internship with Ernst & Young.
Kristen Fazio is currently finishing her third year at UOIT in Forensic Science and has just been accepted to perform her fourth-year thesis project with the Canada Border Services Agency in Ottawa, working with the effects of constraining signatures. She is extremely excited to share this news with the HTS community because she attributes her success to the education she received at HTS!
2008
Chloe Chebib is currently enrolled at the Ontario College of Art & Design. She has completed two internships with fashion designers and fashion companies.
