Sportsmanship, leadership, discipline, diligence and teamwork – these are just a few of the skills that are honed on the playing fields of HTS.
The athletic program at HTS is designed to enhance fitness, develop physical skill, and let all students experience the rewards of teamwork and the sheer joy of competition. At HTS, everyone gets to play. A broad range of co-curricular activities, from Outdoor Adventures and ball hockey to weight training, bordenball and dance, encourages active participation by the entire student population.
For athletes who wish to compete at a more advanced level, there are more than 49 school teams, engaged in 16 sports, in the CISAA (Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association). Through team sports, house competitions and a busy intramural program, HTS athletics help students acquire confidence, effective leadership skills and a lifelong habit of healthy activity.
