With just over two months to go, the 2011 Gala is quickly approaching! This year’s event, “London’s Calling,” will be held on April 29 at the Terrace Banquet Centre, which will be decked out with “everything English”, including double decker buses, those famous phone booths and even an appearance by Sir Elton John!

The largest event run by HTS each year, the Gala aims to raise funds to improve school facilities. Proceeds for the 2011 Gala will be used to fund two projects in the Athletics and Arts departments. The athletics project will focus on renovating the front soccer field with the installation of a sprinkler system, new nets and realigning the fields for regulation play. The Arts project will be focus on enhancing the Lower School Music program, with a new portable MAC computer lab, and renovations to a classroom for a Lower School Art room.

The night will feature several auctions (including for the one year lease of the new Land Rover) and currently the Gala Committee is holding an early bird draw for a coveted HTS VIP parking spot! Tickets for the parking spot draw will be sold until February 24. Parents, faculty, staff and friends of HTS who attend the Gala will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a trip for two to London, with all accommodation included. Tickets for the Gala are $200 and can be purchased here. The night promises dinner, dancing, entertainment and great chance to meet and mingle with members of the HTS community!
