A small group of Senior School students from HTS will be participating in the 12th annual CAIS Leadership Conference in Halifax from April 27 to May 1. Accompanied by faculty member Mr. Csinos, students Samantha K., Madison S., and Nick H. will be joining over 100 students and teachers from Independent Schools across the country to take part in this unique and exciting opportunity.

The conference’s mandate is to educate young people about what it takes to lead their peers toward making a positive contribution to their school and community. The theme of the conference is “Make a Wave,” which hopes to illustrate the idea that one person’s positive actions can motivate others to do something positive themselves, creating a wave of good will and inspiring acts of leadership.

The group will have the chance to hear guest speakers, take part in group activities and enjoy multiple daytrips through Halifax, Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove. The students will not only learn a lot while they are there, but they will also be able to offer their fellow attendees a glimpse of what makes the HTS leadership program successful.

We wish the group safe travels and look forward to the ideas and inspiration they will bring back to the HTS community!
