Tax Credits

HTS provides tax receipts allowed under Canada Revenue Agency guidelines for Religious Instruction and Child Care. A receipt for religious instruction is issued for each child enrolled in the school, and child care receipts are automatically issued for students who are under 16 years of age during the calendar year. Receipts are issued to the person or organization that paid the tuition fees.

Scholarships and Bursaries

HTS is committed to enrolling exceptional students from diverse backgrounds regardless of their families’ financial situation. HTS is able to support students through scholarships and bursaries.

Scholarships are merit-based awards typically awarded to students entering Grade 9. At HTS, we offer a limited number of merit-based entrance scholarships to new students who demonstrate excellence and leadership in both their academics and co-curricular activities.

To qualify for a bursary, students must meet the admission requirements and families must show evidence of financial need. Bursaries are intended to be for short-term assistance and are available for up to 50% of tuition costs.

Applications for financial assistance are submitted to a third party assessor (Apple Financial Services) who will provide a recommendation to the HTS Financial Assistance Committee. The application for financial assistance is separate from the admissions application and must be completed on the Apple Financial Services website. All bursaries are awarded for the next academic year.

Apply for Financial Assistance

The deadline for new and returning families to apply for Financial Assistance is December 1.
