Bronwyn Quast is a Grade 11 student who has designed a dress inspired by Post-Impressionism paintings. The dress features white sleeves made of bridal chiffon dabbed with blue paint, exaggerated-sized shoulders and a triangular-shaped skirt with silver attached to the ends.
Through her design process, Bronwyn learned the importance of time management and that inspiration can come from anything. Bronwyn’s favourite part of the process was sketching the designs before putting the material together. Her advice to future participants is to plan ahead, get extra fabric and not to waste any time as creating a fashion item is a lot harder than it seems.
