Model United Nations Club Competition Highlights

Kevin Qu, Grade 11 Student
On December 7, 2018, our Senior School Model United Nations delegation was invited to attended Country Day School's inaugural MUN conference.

Fifteen HTS students competed along with 50 other high school students from Country Day School and St. Andrew's College in a night of intense but fruitful debate. From preventing Riddle’s return in the Harry Potter themed committee to aiding Donald Trump’s 2020 election campaign as well as maintaining peace, order and government in Canada during the historical October crisis, it was certainly a night to remember!

All 15 delegates proudly represented Holy Trinity School. For many of them, this was their first-ever conference, and all representatives should be commended on their effort and exceptional accomplishment. Congratulations to our award winners who placed top in their respective committee.

Daniel S. -  Honourable Mention in Harry Potter
Natasha N. - Honourable Mention in Harry Potter
Richard R. - Honourable Mention in Trump 2020
Shayan N. - Best Delegate in October Crisis
Kevin Q. - Outstanding Delegate in October Crisis

Thank you to our fantastic faculty advisors, Ms Donita Duplisea and Mr. John Edgecombe, for staying late and always supporting our journey! This will be one of the many conferences our delegation will be attending. Stay tuned as we compete at NAIMUN next February in Washington!
